Guiding your Students Well as they consider Tertiary Music Study - Tim White OAM

Have you ever wondered what advice you should give to a student who is considering studying music at University level and pursing it as a career? Dr. Nick Parnell talks with Tim White OAM, to answer this question. Topics covered include who should study music, what it's like studying at a tertiary level (WAPPA), and what the career opportunities are. 

Tim White was Principal Percussionist of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra for 28 years, before moving full time to WA Academy of Performing Arts at Edith Cowan University in 2013 where is currently the Co-ordinator of Classical Music. In 2014 Tim won the ECU’s 'Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching', and in 2015 he won the Australian Awards for University Teaching’s 'Award for Teaching Excellence'.
